XMission’s backend VoIP provider will be performing energy updates that will affect our SIP Trunking customers. We have been notified that these emergency updates will occur on Tuesday, May 27th, from 3:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time (MDT). During the upgrade process, XMission SIP Trunking may be unavailable and/or unresponsive for up to 45 minutes. Once the upgrades are completed, your SIP services should automatically re-authenticate. However, your system may require a reboot and/or manual re-authentication.

XMission will be conducting software upgrades for our VoIP system this Saturday morning, May 24th, from midnight to 3:00 a.m. While the upgrades are underway, voice service will remain accessible and uninterrupted. Should you encounter any technical difficulties with your XMission Voice service following this maintenance, it is advisable to reboot your onsite Telephone Adapter.

--UPDATE -- 5/20/25 - 9:36am The fiber cut has been repaired and services have been restored.

--UPDATE -- 5/19/25 - 5:45pm Our upstream carrier is still trying to locate the break in the fiber, no ETA Thank you again for your patience.

--UPDATE-- 5/19/25 - 10:00am We appreciate your patience while we gather more information. We have been told troubleshooting is underway. We will keep you informed regarding this situation as soon as we know more. No ETA

Currently we have an outage impacting all Bonfire customers. We have a ticket open with our long haul fiber provider to help restore services as quickly as possible. --UPDATE-- The break in the fiber has been found, however it is located on a network not owned by the fiber transport causing delays in their ability to troubleshoot and repair it. Unfortunately, still no ETA at this time.

The Juniper switch that some colocated equipment uses is exhibiting behavior that might indicate potential instability so we have decided to replace the hardware tonight. The maintenance window will be from midnight until 6 a.m. but we anticipate brief five minute outages when we temporarily move your connection to another switch and then back to the new switch after we have it ready.

As always, we apologize for this brief outage but we choose to practice the maxim, "better safe than sorry."

Field Services are in transit to the site. There are 26 residential customers affected. START TIME: 07:05 This has since been resolved.
