Due to UDOT widening US-89 at Cherry Lane in Layton UT. UTOPIA will be relocating the following fibers at that location. 279 residential and 7 business customers across multiple ISPs will be affected and can expect to be without services for the duration of one of these maintenance windows.

UPDATE: This Maintenance window has been rescheduled for October 8, 2021

Mission will migrate all customers in Clearfield, Centerville and Layton from our current UTOPIA router to two new routers on October 7, 2021. Your connection will be migrated at some point within the scheduled maintenance window between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Note that most customers will not need to do anything and will not even notice the migration took place overnight. Affected users have been emailed additional information.

Please note this effort will coincide with a major overnight outage in these cities for a forced fiber location project. Downtime for that event is expected to be significantly longer than our own work

UTOPIA is planning an emergency maintenance for Thursday, Oct 7, 2021. UTOPIA fiber needs to be relocated to accommodate UDOT extending Legacy Highway out west to Syracuse.

MAINTENANCE START TIME: 10/07/2021 12 a.m. MDT

MAINTENANCE END TIME: 10/07/2021 6 a.m. MDT

All customers in the following cities can expect to be down for 3 to 4 hours during this maintenance.

Your connection will be migrated at some point within the scheduled maintenance window between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM. In the first step for moving all XMission Internet subscribers on UTOPIA to our new routers, tonight XMission engineering are moving all custom VLANS from the older router to the new routing fabric. This migration will cause a minor disruption of service as we change your connection to our new routers, but should last less than five minutes, and will require no action or change to your router's configuration.

An ongoing DDOS attack onBandwidth.com, who is one of several upstream carriers we use for our voice products, is affecting some outbound calling for XMission Voice customers, possibly including emergency services. Please be aware. This problem is intermittent. We are routing away where we an until the degradation has been resolved

Bandwidth.com reports all emergency services are again functional.

UTOPIA's engineers are investigating an outage affecting a small group of customers from varying footprints
