DESCRIPTION:

UTOPIA will be performing an emergency reboot on our switch stack in the OR013 footprint.

SCOPE OF IMPACT:

All customers connected to the switch will experience an outage lasting several minutes while the switch stack reboots.

UTOPIA will be making a change to the configuration on switch OR014-ADS-7004 in the OR014 footprint located in Orem Utah.

SCOPE OF IMPACT:

          This is expected to be non-customer affecting

Starting at 14:33, we lost our connection to the Seattle Interent eXchange. We are currently investigating the cause, and in the meantime are routing traffic through our other upstream transport connections to minimize impact to customers. ETA still being determined

XMission is scheduling maintenance work for Friday, March 12th starting at 8 p.m. MST to troubleshoot and repair the ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) which briefly malfunctioned and caused a short, partial outage in our data center the night of January 22nd.

Although we immediately contacted our vendor after the outage, we needed to wait for the repair parts to arrive. On Friday night our electricians will consolidate all power over to our redundant bus to completely de-energize the ATS so the generator specialists can safely and thoroughly test all key components then replace or repair whatever they find amiss. To clarify, we will temporarily move all power to a single source, secured through our operational ATS and UPS system. Once the ATS in question has been repaired the vendor will test it to confirm everything is working properly before we move load back to the power bus and wrap up maintenance. XMission will have the appropriate staff standing by in the event of power-loss, however no downtime is expected.

UTOPIA will be replacing a router to allow for an increase bandwidth. Affected customers can expect to be down for 30 minutes.

We will be installing some minor updates on our Zimbra infrastructure tonight (03/09/2021) starting at 10PM MST. Less than 30 minutes of service interruptions expected as we restart backend services. No email will be lost.
